St Paul's, Starcross and St Mary's Cofton took part in this year's Cockwood Shanty Festival hosting bands across the Saturday and Sunday.

What an amazing team we have at St Paul's!
The Cockwood shanty weekend has now finished and over the weekend St Paul's has been a venue for 12 bands (shanty crews) on Saturday (all day) and Sunday from 11.30am (setting up after our Palm Sunday service).
An incredible amount of work has been needed: to set up, clear away, make refreshments (savouries and cakes) to sell at the weekend, as well as welcoming visitors and bands and serving refreshments.
Well done and thanks to all involved, I know the welcome given to bands and visitors - and the refreshments - has been much appreciated and it's also been a great opportunity to meet and talk with people from our local communities and further away.
